New items will be in the shop today!
My little pots go through many stages to get a finished pot, thought you might be interested to see?—Atelier Stella
1// Start with a ball of clay
2// I roll in to sheets and make the basic shape.
3// This is then smoothed to create a clean surface
4// I then add the markings and give a little face
5// The pot then dries for 4 days till totally dry
6// The first (biscuit) firing takes about 10 hours for the kiln to get up to temperature and a further 10 to cool down and leaves a pale porous pot.
7// I then paint with glaze. The glaze can often be a totally different colour to the finished colour.
8// The pot is then glazed for second time to a higher temperature taking 24 hours to heat and cool.
Then finally I can release my pretties out into the world for you guys to enjoy!!

Some more fantastic pics from happy customers!
Top - Beautifully styled by Justina Blakeney
Middle - A surprise present for Georgina
Bottom - A very charasmatic picture from Jud. I think this picture looks like an 80’s progressive rock album cover, kind of like Queen in ceramic form - can you spot Brian May!
Keep sending or tweeting me you pics - I do love to see them!!
Last week I visited Perch Hill - Sarah Raven’s gardens in East Sussex. It was a nice change from London, looking round the cutting garden and vegetable gardens and then stopping for home made cake and tea. See her website for future open days, you can order seeds too.
